Terms of service

Martha’s Furnishing Fabrics is a New Zealand owned company operating in Auckland, New Zealand.

Purchasing from Martha’s Furnishing Fabrics

All of our fabrics and products displayed online are in stock and available for purchase.

Our minimum cut instore for all fabrics is 0.5m, online it is 1m.

When purchasing fabrics quantity '1' refers to 1m of fabric.

Purchasing of our fabrics are categorised into two categories. ‘Available Online’ and available by ‘Order Form’

Fabrics available by ‘Product Enquiry’ unfortunately do not have an online purchasing facility. Products 'purchased' under Product Enquiry will be submitted under the agreement that you wish to complete the purchase via phone or email. We will contact you to discuss the finer details of the order, e.g. measurements, drop cuts and pattern repeats etc. We pride ourselves on being as thorough as possible and some products require more of a one-on-one discussion. The order can then be processed over the phone using MasterCard or Visa facility or with Bank Transfer.

Selected ‘Available Online’ products are purchasable using secure online MasterCard, Visa or Paypal facility. These products are Martha’s standard stock, however please note, should we require drop cuts or further information we will contact you before dispatching your fabric.

Customers can be confident that all of their details are protected by the latest security mechanisms and are used only for purposes of the transaction fulfilment.

Third Party Responsibility

When sending directly to a third party for production we remind them on the package to inspect and ensure the fabric is correct and suitable for the job before they cut into it. Failing to do so means Martha’s will not take any further responsibility.

If the customer is in-store and collects their fabric then this becomes the disclaimer of order accuracy. If a third party is engaged beyond this interaction and the fabric is cut then Martha’s takes no liability for inaccuracies of purchase.

Pricing:

By default our prices are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) and include GST (15% sales tax).
They are correct at the time of publication, however, we reserve the right to alter prices for any reason.

Colours:
Every effort has been made to portray the colours of our products that appear on this website as accurately as possible. However because of the actual colours you see depends on the monitor you are using, Martha’s can not guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be completely accurate. 

Free Sampling Service:
We offer a sampling service where you can order up to 12 free samples online buy selecting ‘Free Sample’, filling out your contact and delivery details and ‘Placing Order’. We advise you take advantage of this service to ensure you are happy with your purchase. This free service also includes International addresses!

Delivery times:

Sample Requests:
Our free sampling service is delivered with New Zealand Post; please allow 5-10 working days for delivery. We will process and dispatch your sample request as promptly as possible within standard business hours. Requests placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will be processed within the same day, orders placed after 3pm Monday to Friday or anytime Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the next business day. Please get into contact with us if you require your samples quicker, as a quicker service is available at an extra cost. 

Orders:
All of our New Zealand orders are couriered, they are tracked and require a signature. We will process and dispatch your order as promptly as possible within standard business hours. Orders placed before 12pm Monday to Friday will be processed within the same day, orders placed after 12pm Monday to Friday or anytime Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the next business day. Please note once we have couriered your parcel with 'Signature Required' the courier driver will not have Authority to Leave - if you do not want this service please request the Non Signature service when placing your order.

Once a parcel has been picked up by the Courier, Martha's does not take responsibility for any delayed processing on their part, we will however endeavor to assist you in locating your parcel. 

Please allow the following times for delivery:
North Island – 1-2 working days delivery
South Island – 3 working days
Rural – allow an extra day

Please note that courier delivery times are estimated and do not include processing and dispatch. When supplying a delivery address where possible use a physical address where there will be someone present to receive your delivery between 9am – 5pm weekdays.

Australia - 3 - 10 working days, please select your service accordingly

ePost - ePost is a tracked postal service. Please do not select ePost if you wish to have your fabric sent to you on a roll. Only folded fabrics qualify for this service. If you are purchasing Velvet please be aware ePost will not be an option as we do not recommend our Velvets to be folded. 
Delivery times for ePost are 5-10 working days. 
Economy Courier - 5 -7 working days
Express Courier - 2 -3 Working days. 

International Purchases:
We do accept international purchases.
All international purchases are processed in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) and are delivered with New Zealand Post. Goods and freight are to be paid for in separate payments over the phone with a credit card. Please contact us for more information about international purchases and delivery times.

Receiving Your Order:

When you receive your order you will be asked to ensure that the correct product has been supplied as per your order, before it has been cut into and used for its intended purposes. 

If the goods are not supplied as ordered we will be able to remedy this before the fabric has been cut. Martha's takes no responsibility once the fabric has been cut and / or made into its final use.

Refund Policy:
We do not have to provide a full refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully.
If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.

Exchange Policy:
We do not have to provide an exchange on non faulty products, however an exchange can be provided at the discretion of the sales staff, on cut fabrics this exchange would incur a 20% cutting fee. 

We do not provide refunds or exchanges on any items purchased at a sale price, so please choose carefully.  If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.

Store Credit: 
If you have been issued with a store credit, it is valid for 12 months from date of issue. 

Cancelling Order:
Orders cannot be cancelled after payment has been made. If you process an order in error please contact us at info@marthas.co.nz
