Collection: Trims
-
Upholstery trims are the finishing details that add texture, colour, and personality, think fringe, gimp, braid, tassels, and piping. They can elevate cushions, soften edges, and turn simple upholstery into something special. If you’re searching for trims NZ-wide, our collection is full of playful and classic options.

Yes, we stock a range of fringe trims, including styles suited to statement interiors and finishing touches on cushions, ottomans, and upholstery. Fringe is a simple way to add movement and a more custom look to your projects. We don’t offer free samples for trims or tassels. If you would like to buy a smaller piece before purchasing, feel free to get in touch and we can arrange a sample for a small cost.

Measure the edges you want to trim (for example, all four sides or just the bottom), then add a little extra for turning corners and neat finishing. If you’re adding piping, factor in seam allowance too. Trims are often sold by the metre, check the product listing and if you’re unsure, we’ll help you calculate.
-
Some trims are designed for outdoor use, and we do carry outdoor-appropriate trim options. For exterior projects, you want materials that handle moisture and sun better than delicate indoor trims. Check the product description for suitability, and if you tell us where the cushions will live (covered deck vs full sun), we’ll guide you.

Yes, we stock piping cord that is ideal for creating crisp, tailored edges on cushions and upholstery, helping cushions look more structured and finished. We offer one standard thickness that works well for most projects. We don’t provide free samples, but if you’d like to try a smaller amount before purchasing a full length, you’re welcome to get in touch and we can arrange a small piece for purchase.

Yes you can visit our Newmarket showroom to view trims and compare them against fabrics in natural light. If you’re shopping online, ordering samples first is the easiest way to confirm colour and texture. Trims can look quite different on screen, so sampling removes doubt and speeds up decision-making.

Many trims are sold by the metre, and the exact unit is always shown on each product listing. If you need a specific length that includes part metres, you can submit a part metre order form and our team will get back to you to arrange it. This makes it easier to order the exact amount needed for your project without over-ordering.

Absolutely. The best trim depends on your fabric, the vibe you’re going for (classic, playful, tailored, vintage), and where it’s being used. Share a photo of your fabric or tell us what you’re making, and we’ll suggest trim options that complement it then you can order samples to confirm the final pairing.
